Honor is located between Lake Ann and Beulah on US 31. Honor is known for its fishing on the Platte River, which runs through the outskirts of town. It is home for the "National Coho Festival." There are several fishing resorts and rental cabins along the Platte to accommodate fishermen. There are several cabins and fishing resorts scattered along the Platte for visiting fisherman. Population: 364. This village on the Platte River, in Homestead Township, was founded in 1895 by the building of the Guelph Patent Cask Company and was named for the baby daughter of its general manager, J. A. Gifford. A station on a branch of the Chicago & Western Michigan (now Pere Marquette) Railroad. Incorporated as a village in 1914. Group area designed for use by equestrian campers riding the Shore to Shore Riding/Hiking Trail. Non-equestrian campers welcome too. Maximum capacity is for 200 individuals and can accommodate tents and small trailers. Campground is located on Garey Lake which offers good pan fishing.
