Deer Park

Deer Park is located 28 miles north of Newberry. A post office was established to serve the 300 resident of Deer Park in 1893. It was platted as a village on August 1, 1902 but was abandoned before it offically became a village. Deer Park is located between Lake Superior and Muskallonge Lake in Luce County. Deer Park is a cottage community with 2 convenience stores. There is a bar-gas station 9 miles south at Pine Stump Junction. Because of its unique location thousand of people visit the area during the summer and countless snowmobilers in the winter.
